Violence and Beauty

Today has been a really good day. Kat and I had a monologue development session which pretty much turned into me and her hanging out, and me talking about New York and New Jersey, which makes me nostalgic for home, but wanting nothing more than to be here with her. We're going to see the movie "Thirteen" together on Friday night. :)

Also, during European Modernist Drama class, Nadia gave me a note asking me if I had some time after class. I told her yes. So we went out to the front of the Forgan-Smith building. She told me that she had a crush on me, saying, "It was supposed to be a secret, which means everyone knows." Yeah, that's the truth, darling. She said she would feel a lot better if it was out in the open, and she knew that I had a crush on someone else, and wanted me to know about the way she felt.

Of course I was okay with it. I've been on her side of things far too many times to not be okay and understand. We hugged twice, and after the second time, she said, "But I'm pretty right?" And I said, "Yes! Definitely! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise!" :)

Then she went to her tutorial.

As I walked back into the Forgan-Smith building, above the door, etched in stone, it said, "Great is truth, and mighty above all things." How right they are...

So that's really cool now. I'm really happy about the way that worked out. :)

So today has been a really good day. Any suggestions on things to do after the movie?
